The Ayahuasca ceremony

At our Ayahuasca Retreat in Brazil, you have the opportunity to experience a ceremony in a differentiated and individual way.
Here we would like to give you an insight into the process of an Ayahuasca night.
Around 7:00 PM, we'll transfer you from the retreat hotel to the Centro Integrativo Luz de Gaya, just 3 km away. This center is also the home of our shaman Eduardo, who lives there with his family. It offers a protected, nature-oriented environment, characterized by many elements of shamanism.
There you will be warmly welcomed by Eduardo and your Guardian.
The beginning is calm and pleasant: getting to know each other, preparing the sleeping places under the open sky, and arriving together.

Later, the fire is lit and guarded by a fire guardian throughout the night.
The ceremony itself begins gently. During the ritual, you will be offered the ayahuasca drink three times—always as an invitation, never as an obligation. The process continues through the night, accompanied by music, rituals, and quiet moments. Both the shaman and the guardians are there at all times to support you and guide you through the process.
Additional ceremony elements
During the night, you'll also have the opportunity to try rapé—a traditional snuff powder used by indigenous peoples for centuries. Our shamans and guardians use it specifically to support the ceremony and deepen perception. Rapé is a mixture of finely ground tobacco and selected herbs. It is blown directly into the nostrils using a special blowpipe—a very intense experience, especially for those trying it for the first time.
Here too, everything is an offer, nothing is obligatory.
Another optional element is Sananga eye drops, which can be administered in the early morning hours. They are known to enhance visual and spiritual perception and intensify the experience.
Music also plays a central role in the ceremony. Specially curated playlists, tailored to you or your small group and the night in question, will guide and support the process.
In the early morning hours, peace gradually returns. Some participants are asleep, others are still awake, gathering impressions.
We'll pick you up around 7:00–7:30 a.m. and take you back to the retreat. A hearty, healthy breakfast awaits you there—or you can treat yourself to a long rest first.

The ceremony will take place outdoors, under the tropical stars of Brazil—a unique experience. For your comfort, we recommend bringing a warm sweater or sweatpants. Sleeping bags and comfortable mats will be provided.
We look forward to welcoming you to our retreat soon.
